“Have you seen these weeds?”
There are many different varieties of aquatic weeds found in Minnesota.
Any (if not all) of them may be affecting your ability to enjoy your lakefront all season long.
Here’s a list of common aquatic weeds you might find in and around your lake:
Native Species
*DNR permit approval required
Coontail
Broad-leaf pondweeds
Narrow-leaf pondweeds
wild celery
Canada water weed
Bushy Pondweeds and Naiads
*White water lily
*Yellow lotus
*Bulrush
*Cattails
Invasive Species
curly-leaf-pond weed
Eurasian watermilfoil
Purple loosestrife
That’s where we come in!
We will get to the “root” of the problem and remove the entire aquatic plant.
Weed Removal Permits
For some plant types, we may need approval from the DNR in advance* before removal can begin. We handle permit applications for homeowners quickly and easily.
* An additional two weeks is required to apply for an expedited permit from the DNR
